ERI provides pavement roughness and profiling services using a high-speed vehicle mounted profiler. This equipment is a precision, non-contact profiler that conforms to ASTM E950 Class 1 requirements. The profiler is primarily used to rate International Roughness Index (IRI), Ride Number (RN), Profilograph Index (PI), Rolling Straightedge, rutting, and faulting. In addition, the system also produces a profilograph simulation with bump / dip locations and must grind lines.
Profiler Features
• Collects accurate, repeatable data between 5 to 70 MPH
• Permits rapid, real-time measurements
• Eliminates the need for lane closures or traffic control
• Measurements are not affected by changes in temperature, pavement color or texture, sunlight, wind and speed
